I have been working with infants and children for the last 10 years and I also have three children of my own. I have my Associate's degree in Psychology and I am continuing my education in hopes to become an Adolescent Clinical Therapist. I am also CPR and First Aid Certified. I love working with kids on a personal level by learning their personality. I use a hands-on approach to gain the trust of both parent and child. Providing childcare isn't just a job, it's accepting to play a large role in a child's life and help guide them as they grow and develop. I love fun and smiles but I also like to promote educational activities appropriate to the child's age (for example going over the alphabet or doing puzzles with a toddler, or practicing tummy time with an infant!) I strive to become not only their babysitter, but one of their best friends. I have a genuine love and passion for kids and I have realized this is my life's calling. I think that providing childcare would be the best job for me while I am continuing my education because it's doing what I love, working in the direction I plan to go with my career and also allows me to keep my son with me while I work, which gives him the opportunity to interact with other children. I have excellent writing and verbal skills, my specialty is drawing and arts & crafts, skilled hider, below average seeker, animal lover, excellent board game player, excellent story time reader and swing pusher, great at cuddling and I know the tickle monster very well, excellent boo-boo kisser, and I may not be the best singer or dancer but that doesn't stop me from putting on a show. I don't mind embarrassing myself for a laugh (well for the kids at least)! It's so easy to make them smile and I absolutely love doing it.

I’m a dedicated and nurturing caregiver with a strong passion for working with infants. I focus on creating a safe, comforting environment where babies can grow, develop, and feel secure. Certified in First Aid and CPR, I prioritize their safety at all times. I also build strong relationships with both the infants and their families, offering individualized care that meets each child’s needs. My goal is to provide a calm and loving atmosphere where they feel supported and cherished. As my native language is Spanish, I can introduce babies to the language early on, which is a wonderful added benefit for families interested in bilingual exposure.

Hi! My name is Kiersten, and I’m 20 years old. I’m currently in my first semester of a Sonography program. I’ve always loved working with kids — I grew up helping care for my three younger sisters, and by the time I was 14, I was watching my youngest sister full-time when she was just a year old. I’m CPR and BLS certified, and I’m happy to help with homework, light meals, and keeping kids engaged with fun activities. I especially love arts and crafts and finding creative ways to keep little ones entertained and learning. I also have my own reliable car, so I’m able to help with school pick-ups, drop-offs, or take kids out for fun activities like park trips or ice cream outings. I’m also a huge animal lover! Whether your family has cats, dogs, or other pets, I’ll be more than comfortable including them in the fun. I’m responsible, patient, and genuinely enjoy being part of a child’s day — helping them feel safe, cared for, and happy while you’re away.

I love being a sitter because I truly enjoy working with kids and creating a safe, positive, and fun environment for them. I love crafting and anything outdoors and am happy to plan fun activities with your kiddos! I also help care for my two nieces and love being involved in their daily routines, playtime, and growth. In addition, I completed my EMT certification this past year, which has strengthened my sense of responsibility, safety awareness, and ability to stay calm in any situation. Hi everyone! My name is Alani and I am a full time Nursing student at Old Dominion University class of 2026. I have a couple of years of experience working with children. I have two nephews of my own and I work in a daycare facility. I have worked with children from ages 0-12 and I am comfortable with pets! I love being a babysitter because of my love for children. I have grown up around big dogs, so pets won’t be an issue! Once I graduate, I am planning on becoming a pediatric nurse. Over my childcare career I have been fortunate enough to learn patience and time management! I have also taken several online and college courses about child development which allow me to better understand how to care for children. I am also CPR certified and a NREMT and licensed in Virginia. Please reach out with any questions!
