I am currently a special education instructional assistant that has been a babysitter since 14, I have 11 soon to be 13 nieces and nephews that i’ve been helping with since 11, and have been an assistant teacher in their 3 year old room while I was at JMU. I currently have evening ability during the week and some weekend availability. I love working with the littles and am very hands on. I love giving piggy backs, running around, and doing any activities that make our littles happy. Their smiles keep me going no matter how easy or difficult. I have excellent writing and verbal skills, my specialty is drawing and arts & crafts, skilled hider, below average seeker, animal lover, excellent board game player, excellent story time reader and swing pusher, great at cuddling and I know the tickle monster very well, excellent boo-boo kisser, and I may not be the best singer or dancer but that doesn't stop me from putting on a show. I don't mind embarrassing myself for a laugh (well for the kids at least)! It's so easy to make them smile and I absolutely love doing it.

Good morning! I do respite care for several families with children on the spectrum and have been part of their families for several years. I’ve earned an M.Ed. in Educational Psychology (school counsellor) and an ABA (RBT) certificate, and I'm currently pursuing a second degree in Special Education at UVA. I have cared for a 6-year-old for the past 3 years and am a good fit for a family seeking occasional care or a weekend break.
