Hello! My name is Sydney, and I absolutely adore taking care of children (regardless of age)! Over the past few years I have volunteered as a child ministry guide at my local church and worked with ages 2-7 and helped out in the nursery every other weekend for the infants. This past summer, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, I was unable to attend church and instead focused on teaching individualized swim lessons to ages 2-15. I am also a D1 swimmer, so I am used to the crammed and slightly chaotic busyness of family life! In high school I had to travel to practice 45 minutes away, so driving to and from sports practices/tournaments or running errands is no problem whatsoever. I am the eldest of 3 siblings and have always been told that I have a very motherly view on life. When I was younger and my parents were Read more both at work, I would cook meals for my siblings and make sure that homework was being done (and offering to help where I could). In high school I took several Advanced Placement classes in several different areas, so I am well-versed in any school subject offered at the high school and, since I have younger siblings, I also know what subjects are being taught at the middle and elementary levels. Overall, I love being able to spend time with children, making an impact in their lives, and helping them strive to be the best people they can be when they grow up.
