I worked at a child care center in Roanoke, VA for 5 years and as an assistant preschool teacher for one summer. I have a passion for the upcoming generation. I tutored ESL children for 3 years, twice a week, in high school and continue to pursue a relationship with children I used to teach/babysit. Children have joy in harsh times and I believe they need to be respected and cherished. In college I originally studied Liberal Studies with a concentration in Special Education, then transitioned in to a social work major. Upon the end of my studies, I had to leave Longwood to work and am now enrolled in Liberty University online and have held the same job for a year and a half and am looking to utilize my skills and talents to make the world a better place.
