Hi. Thank you for reading my profile. I'm a responsible, upbeat adult who would love to help you with your child/children. Currently, I am a nanny for fraternal boy/girl twins who just turned 3. I have been with them for a year and have worked with other families as well. My other experience includes helping raise my special needs sister, 9 years younger, from birth. She had (has) both medical (seizures) and developmental challenges resulting from hydrocephalus. Our parents worked full-time; I spent a great deal of time taking care of her, including the entire summer - over 8 years. There were many challenges. I was a regular, on-call substitute teacher for special needs in SC, mostly nonverbal autistic classrooms with a small teacher-student ratio. This is supplemented by several childcare/nanny jobs over the years including ones obtained through this app. Additionally, I have been actively involved in both of Read more my niece's life, who are now almost adults. I enjoy interacting with all ages whether simply listening and talking, helping with homework, reading a story, watching parentally approved programming, transporting to activities or playing dolls/cars/games. Kids generally warm up to me quickly. I am physically fit, energetic, enjoy the outdoors and am up for basically anything, as long as sanctioned by you! I love outings and am happy to research age-appropriate educational and/or fun activities that occur during my hours to help save you time. Of course, this would be contingent on the family's interests and the child's schedule, needs, and wishes as well as the amount of time we spend together. I have a fabulous driving record. I am a true animal lover and have been a vegetarian for over 30 years. Note: I will serve meat and prepare basic meat foods, but please do not expect a rack of lamb made by me. 😉 Your child's safety and happiness while adhering to house rules is my utmost priority.
