Greetings ! I am a currently a Senior Mass Communication Major at Virginia State University. I'm from Richmond Virginia, I love my family, cooking,singing and children. I'm an upbeat person, love to have good clean fun. I love working with children, watching them grow and explore. growing up I had one of the best babysitters she was like a second mother to me. She created fun activities for me keep me busy and showed me the power in being in a child's life. When I got older she allowed me to assist her with other little one who were like myself, and I eventually took these skills and started babysitting kids on my own. During 2010-2012, I began babysitting children in my neighborhood for an hourly rate. The age ranged from infant to middle school age. I would assist in meal prep, construct fun activities, and assist with homework assignments Read more including all four core subjects and special projects. I would watch them so that they would not get into trouble. On nights and evenings when there no school I would take them out to do activities such as bowling, skating and the movies. During the summer we visited the petting zoo, children's museum, science museum and local parks. For the infants, I would feed them as needed made sure they had a fresh diaper, kept a close eye on them, and held them to ensure comfort. I was also a resident assistant for the university for 2 years. I managed a dorm consisting of 500 students ages 17 and up. I made sure they were aware of events going around campus and the resident hall. If they were having issues I would listen to them, and try to help then with the problem, or connect them with someone that could properly assist. I also communicated with parents as needed.
