I have been learning to take care of children since I was 7 years old. My Nana let a lot of kids live in her house over the years and older kids were tasked with helping the younger children. Each child became family to me and when I turned 16 I began to care for children on my own including my little cousins, baby brother, and children of family friends. What drives me to work with kids is the beauty of their joy. Kids can tell a good soul and as someone who never got along with kids my age younger kids always gravitated towards me and I've always taken that big sister role. Kids need positive and consistent role models that aren't just family and I am happy to be that for as long as the kid knows me.
