Hello, my name is Kimberly Doremus. My Profile says I am currently in Virginia, however I just moved to the Melbourne area! I would like to first thank you for taking the time to read my bio. I have been living in the SouthWest Virginia area for most of my life and am currently settling into the area! A little about me, I worked at a local daycare in Radford VA called Grace A Child, where I was the preschool teacher for two years. Some of the responsibilities I had as being the preschool teacher were potty training, lesson planning/ activities, evaluating children and communicating with families and providing a safe and comforting space for children. After leaving Grace A Child I began working at a childcare center in Blacksburg VA called Rainbow Riders with two year olds for close to two years where I started babysitting for about ten different families from weekend to weekend. I provided care for birthday party help, date nights, parents working on weekends and parents running errands with families of one to three children ranging from a year and a half to ten years old. Many families have said I do a great job at keeping their child safe, happy, calm and they looked forward to seeing me when I am scheduled to come care for them. I truly love caring for children and providing a safe comfortable space for them to explore the interests they have and grow self confidence in themselves. I enjoy doing crafts with children to help with expression and fine motor skills, dance parties and obstacle courses to help with gross motor skills, reading stories to help with language skills, dramatic play to help with social/ emotional skills and more. I am CPR and First Aid certified along with a handful of other certifications through Virginia that I can provide if needed along with references through families I have worked for. In my free time I enjoy paddle boarding with my dog, exploring new trails, spending time with my boyfriend of seven years and going to the beach. I hope to hear from you soon!
