Hello, my name is Patricia Raynor, I am an early childhood educator who would like to share my skills with your family. I love caring for and playing with infants and young children, reading to and with children, and I know lots of fun games and songs. I am a mother of twins. I received the Montessori Assistant certification from the Washington Montessori Institute at Loyola University, Columbia MD, in 2011. I worked as a Montessori Assistant at a Fairfax County Montessori School for nine years working with 3-6 year olds. I also originated and taught a weekly cooking class there for four year olds for five years. Prior to returning to the workforce, I homeschooled my children for 10 years. I have volunteered as a tutor for children whose parents do not speak English. I was a literacy outreach volunteer for Fairfax County Public Library, reading books to three Read more Head Start classes in Reston, VA. I have provided volunteer childcare for infants and toddlers at the Assisting Young Mothers program in Fairfax, VA. I have just completed my third year working as an Instructional Assistant with Fairfax County Public Schools. Unfortunately I cannot be in a home with cats because of severe allergy. Dogs, however, are fine.
