Hello!! My name is Cassie. I have 12+ years of experience in working in early childhood education, nannying, and being a behavioral technician in an ABA clinic working with children with autism or developmental delays. I was an assistant teacher working in a Pre-K classroom (ages 4-5) for about 6 months until that preschool closed down. For the following three years, I was a lead teacher in a Montessori preschool program (ages 3-5). At both schools, I was moved around to help in other rooms at need and do have experience taking care of both younger and older children. In my Pre-K classroom, I helped teach my students Spanish, basic math, and the foundations of reading and writing. I took charge of many of the craft and art projects, as I have a strong love for art. In Montessori, I learned how to "guide" rather than "teach", allowing children to Read more be more independent and hands-on in their own learning process. (Emphasis on learning thru play and fostering independence!) In Montessori, the students worked with me to create their own vegetable garden outside, and we had a lot of fun incorporating exploring nature into our lesson plans! I have experience with Kindergarten preparation, including conducting PALS testing. I have nannied for 3 families over the last approximately 8 years. The first two families both had 3 children, ranging from newborn to 7 years old. I was with each family for about 2 years. I have been part time with my current family for over 4 years and, unfortunately, their scheduling needs are changing due to school! During the last 4 years, I have worked part time as a behavior technician conducting ABA therapy with children in a clinical setting who have an autism diagnosis. My responsibilities are to pair with children thru play, implement positive reinforcement schedules in daily programming to work on new skills and manage behaviors. It is my job to accurately track data during sessions with clients for clinical and insurance purposes. I also have experience working with a dog training company and have 3 dogs of my own! I am comfortable with pets. (Occasionally allergic to some cats!) I am also open to fulfilling a household manager role and have taken on other duties while children are at school, etc. Thank you for your consideration!
