Hello! My name is Quimia Blackwell ( I go by Amore'), and I am a passionate and dedicated caregiver with extensive experience in early childhood education. I am currently a rising senior at Norfolk State University, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Early Childhood Education, and I will be graduating in 2025. With a rich background in childcare, I have had the pleasure of working with children of various age groups, from infants to preschoolers. My journey began as a Montessori Daycare Teacher, where I implemented Montessori principles to create a stimulating and nurturing environment for infants and toddlers. I designed age-appropriate activities to support their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, fostering independence and a love for learning. I adapted teaching methods to meet the unique interests and learning styles of each child, creating a positive and engaging atmosphere that encouraged growth and development. During this time, I organized various activities, established behavior rules, and maintained a safe and supportive environment. My ability to build strong relationships with both children and parents has always been a key strength, ensuring open communication and a collaborative approach to childcare. I am highly organized, patient, and adaptable to diverse environments, with a strong understanding of child development principles and Montessori teaching methods. I take pride in creating a positive, safe, and enriching environment for children to thrive in.
