Enthusiastic, Creative and Adventurous Sitter A Little About Me: I am a young creative artist who moved to Los Angeles this year. I love visual and performing arts of all kinds, singing, dancing, beautiful vibrant films and art galleries. I love animals and have grown up with cats, dogs, horses, birds and spend my time immersed with critters. In my day to day, I work as a video editor and director with a very flexible work schedule. I paint, write poetry and love adding an essence of whimsy to life. My Relevant Background: I have a background in kid sitting since I was a young girl and worked professionally as a Waldorf teaching assistant for a year, aiding in classes of 3-10 children ages 2-7 years of age. We would often participate in a day to day routine that involved, songs together, stories, snack time, routine washup/cleanup chores, outdoor hikes, Read more playtime and magical quests dressed up in glamorous cloaks. Additionally, I worked one on one in intensive care for a student who had autism and another who suffered the rare Grin-1 disorder where we would work a lot in sound and play therapy. I love spending time outdoors in nature and have done nature walks with kids where we adventure the mountains or parks learning about different plants and spending time immersed in our environments. I enjoy creating playtime stories and having dress up days and dance parties. I also went through 5 different training courses through the Colorado school system on Preventing Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma, Emergency and Disaster Preparedness for Childcare Providers, Standard Precautions Including Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases and Recognition and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect; these courses have since expired as it has been about 2 years since I first started working there but the skills and relevancy still remain.
