Hi! My name is Haley, and I have been babysitting for 5 years! I am currently a freshman at Virginia Tech, studying criminology. I am home for summer break from May 10th until mid August. I will be going on vacation this summer from June 3rd-June 9th and possible the weekend of June 16th as well. Other than that, I won't really be traveling this summer. For the past two years, I watched a two year old, who is now 3 years old, around 5 days a week. His mom was a stay at home mom so I generally would watch him from 8am to 5pm, while she worked upstairs in her office. Once I left for college, they started him in Preschool at their local church, so now I only watch him when I'm home for the weekend and his parents want to run errands or go on a Read more date night. I wish I could still watch him, he's so sweet!! I also occasionally babysit a two year old boy who lives across the street from me when his parents go on date nights. He has epilepsy, so I do know what to do in the case a seizure occurs. I am CPR certified as well, and took a class on that before I started babysitting. Also, from the summers of 2012-2015, I watched a 12 year old girl and 8 year old boy everyday while their parents were at work, generally Monday through Friday. Now their oldest daughter is in middle school and no longer needs a babysitter. I love their family, and still keep in touch with them. They actually took me out to lunch at VT the other week. I also babysat a 6 month old baby boy, who I found through care.com. I only got to watch him a couple times, before his family moved away, but he was so cute and I love watching babies. My oldest sister also watches a 14 month old girl, so I go over to visit them a lot and play with the baby. I love babysitting toddlers and babies the most, and I feel very comfortable doing it.
