I love taking care of others, especially children and elderly people. Caring for others creates a connection based on trust and respect, and encourages independence and confidence. I attended 1 year of a BSN program before quitting due to financial problems. I then worked as a CNA in a nursing home for awhile. I loved working closely with my residents, but wanted to get out of facilities so that I could give full focus to individual needs instead of rushing through 40 residents per shift. I also have plenty of experience with babies as well as older children, as I began babysitting as a young teenager.
