Hello potential employers, Since I was about 13 years old I have always been the family babysitter. I fell in love with kids and since then I have not stopped. I began working in the childcare field officially when I turned 18. I started my career at Quality Time Childcare center in Suffolk, Va as an assistant teacher to the "Young Toddlers" typically this age group ranges from 12-18months. From there I moved to a full-time assistant position with the "Older Two's" I enjoyed my time there but I only stayed for 8 months. I had a new opportunity to continue doing what I love for a better pay rate. Once I got to First Baptist Weekday School I started off with the infants. I worked in that specific room for about 5 months before being promoted to the "Young Toddler" room again. From there I began to build a Read more reputation for myself as a hardworking, loving, teacher and soon received my very own classroom. "Older 2's" my ratio: 1:8 and by the beginning of the summer I was able to have 10 alone. They turned three which came with new requirements. I am required to create lesson plans based off of a Christian curriculum, maintain the order of the classroom, implement good behavioural rules that each child is required to abide by. I am also a potty training teacher. We begin our process at the age of 2. I am First Aide and CPR certified currently working on my MAT certificate so that I can administer medicine. To add on to those certificates I have taken many training classes that I can provide to you. In addition to my career I am also a full time mother to a loving three year old girl.
