I am currently a student at Virginia State University taking up coursework in the field of history and education to become a history teacher and will be receiving my Bachelor's degree in May of 2020. I have a really bubbly personality and love to put a smile on peoples faces. I am a very nurturing and caring person who not only loves kids but loves working and educating children. My background includes excellent experience in ensuring the safety and well being of children ranging in age from 2 through 16 years old. At the Salvation Army Kroc Hampton Roads, I excelled in the role of providing childcare and acquired key skills in organizing recreational activities, preparing and serving snacks, cleaning toys, setting up special projects, and facilitating children’s social development. I also acquired my CPR ,First Aid and blood and airborne disease certifications through the organization. I have worked in Read more the community of Petersburg at cools spring elementary school as a student teacher for Ms.Ragsdales kindergarten class. I also have gained experience with childcare through teaching as a summer bible school teacher at the Garden of Prayer Worship Center where I provided lessons, addressed students' needs, gave homework, and maintained attendance records. I am a self-starter and extremely patient with great communication skills.
