I began my career as a early childhood special education teacher. I then worked for the Council for Exceptional Children as an information specialist. I then went to law school to work in the field of law and the disabled. However, by the time I graduated, funding had evaporated for State Advocacy Offices. Although I have not been working professionally in the field of special needs, I have been a 20+ year volunteer with Special Olympics. I have a security clearance from the FBI due to my most recent employment.
