My name is Ashley and I am 21 years old from Williamsburg Virginia. I am a senior nursing student at Longwood University who has returned home to Williamsburg for my internship. I have worked in childcare since I was 14 from being a babysitter, to volunteer at summer camps, to a staff member at these summer camps as well as before and after school counselor. I have worked with children ranging from newborn all the way to age 22. Starting when I was 16 I began working as a summer camp staff for James City County Parks and Rec and worked with preschoolers and elementary school children. From age 17-20 I worked as a before and after school counselor as a therapeutic aid for special needs children and over the summer time I worked at a special needs summer camp with children ages 5-22. Throughout the years I was also Read more a nanny for a family with a newborn and a 6 year old. I also babysat for multiple families with their children being infants to age 10. I am CPR certified as well as first aid certified through the American Heart Association. I have had special training to become a therapeutic aid and I receive the training each year through the company that I work for.
