Hello! I’m new to the area and looking to get involved in the community as I get settled. I have about 10 years of experience in paid work with kids, and am an oldest sister with two younger siblings. I have always loved working with kids and decided to make working with kids and families my career. I went to college in Seattle, WA and got my BA in Psychology. After graduating I worked at Seattle Children’s hospital in the inpatient psychiatric unit, where kids who exhibited behaviors that made them a danger to themself or others stayed while being treated. I learned invaluable lessons about how to build rapport with any child, work with difficult behaviors, and special needs kids. I also found my passion for uplifting children and their families and fostering connection. I then became a Couples and Family therapist through the MACFT program at Seattle University. Read more I graduated in 2024 and currently own my business www.new-light-therapy.com working with clients virtually as I work towards full licensure. As I’m building my practice and my new home in Williamsburg I’m hoping to find new connections for myself and make some extra money on the side. I would not be providing clinical therapeutic services to your child or family. However, you will benefit from my years of experience and training, and the fact that my therapeutic modalities are embedded in the way I interact with the world as a whole. Especially when working with children and fostering development and emotional learning. Due to this experience you may notice my fee is on the higher side.
