Hi! My name is Helen, and I’ve been a career nanny for 5 years. I started my college career at Washington University in St. Louis and finished it out at the University of Utah after studying both Criminology and Gender Studies. I love working with children, especially infants and toddlers. I am passionate about play-based learning, getting outdoors with children regardless of weather, and provide a safe, child-led approach to caregiving. Reading and play without screens are important tenants of my approach to childcare. I am CPR and first aid certified. I have a car and am comfortable driving children. I also have lots of experience with baby-led weaning and helping children learn how to stand and walk. I am always looking to learn and grow as a caregiver. At any given time, I am taking a course or two on a variety of topics- car seat safety, emotional intelligence, Read more play-based learning, dangerous play… you name it, I’ve probably taken a course or have one lined up in the near future! I am currently taking a course to become a babywearing educator to gain a deep confidence in all types of baby carriers.
