Meet Beyla

Growing up in a family with seven aunts, my exposure to childcare (cousin-care!) began at an early age. From hanging out with little ones around my grandpa's farm, to taking them to the lake to swim, as an older cousin my job was making their parent's lives easier for a few days! During middle school, I volunteered as a junior counselor at an arts, music, and outdoor exploration summer camp. From there I worked as a counselor, and then a lead counselor at the same camp throughout high school, and then received an administrative position during my senior year. The entire experience allowed me to work with kids ages 0-16, develop skills relating to care for high-needs kids, learn to navigate social conflict between campers as a mediator and role-model, and get really good at crafts! During my senior year, I also nannied part-time for a three-child family, helping with Read more nap time, meals, and transportation, and babysat on the weekends for two-child and four-child families. I love kids, and how exciting the world is from their eyes! Every day is something big and new, and I really enjoy being a companion during that time!
