Hello! My name is Rose. I am a kind, out-going, warm, and patient person. I’m good with people, especially children, and get along with most everybody I meet. In the past, I’ve overseen group play at three separate summer camps, one a day camp in Brooklyn, the other a sleepaway camp in Vermont and most recently, the head teacher at a summer camp located at Ethan Allen Homestead in Vermont. My responsibilities there included overseeing, playing with, and caring for children 3-5 years old, cleaning bathrooms, helping to prepare snacks and meals, and working with staff to come up with daily activities. I also took a gap year during COVID and worked as an assistant teacher in the toddler classroom at Sarah Holbrook Early Headstart. There, I changed diapers, planned developmentally appropriate activities, cooked one meal a day for the children, and took observations. At the University of Vermont, I Read more completed three years of studies, where I am majoring in Early Education and where I’ve begun to hone my interpersonal relationship skills and widen my understanding of racial diversity and class as these aspects relate to public education.
