I am the second oldest in my family and have eight siblings. When I turned 13, I did alot of babysitting for my younger siblings as well as caring for the children of friends. I am currently working part time in a children's daycare in Charlestown, NH. but need full time employment. I do not have certification in childcare, just life experience being a mom. In the early 90's I work ed as a caregiver for the Future's program. It is a program where I watch the children of young parents (mostly teen parents) while they were taking classes to obtain better paying jobs, as well as parenting skills. I have two grown children of my own, a girl and boy. I was lucky to be a stay at home mom, up until my divorce, when the children were 12 and 14. After the divorce, the children lived with me Read more full time and did not see their dad. I enjoyed every stage of raising my children from infancy to adulthood. I read to them starting at the age of 6 months and exposed them to many learning experiences, taking them to the library for story hour, taking them to the park. going on walks. I found teachable moments in most everything I did , from grocery shopping, to preparing meals. Any child I babysat would get the same kind of care and attention I gave my own children. I would read to them, take them to the library, go on walks, take them to the park, go outside and play, do arts and crafts with them, sing them songs. I want to make each child feel loved and know how special they are.
