Hello, I’m Anna! My friends and colleagues would describe me as kind, creative, positive, funny, and patient. I grew up in Washington state, went to college in Menlo Park, California, and spent 2019-2022 living and teaching in Valencia, Spain. I’ve had many years of experience in nannying children of varying ages. In Spain, I was teaching English, tutoring, and nannying. I was a nanny for a 3 year old boy for one year (which I only stopped because he started at a new school), and two girls (5 and 7yrs old) the next year. Both years I was a private English tutor for a 7 yr old and two 11yr olds. However, my primary job those two years was working as a part-time English teacher for children ages ranging from 5-12 years old. For the past 6 months I was working at a Montessori school with children between the ages of 1-5years. I also often watch my friend’s 8 month old baby for an entire day at a time. I’m comfortable working with children of any age! I also know intermediate Spanish and am able to teach some of the basics. My hobbies include art like painting or drawing, music and singing, and traveling. I’ve been to over 10 different countries and 20 states; I’m very interested in learning languages and about new cultures. I really love and value kids’ imaginations and views of the world. My aim as a caregiver is to foster that curiosity and imagination as well as develop confidence, independence, and a sense of responsibility. To me, working with children is a joy.
