I'm a mom of three wonderful kids ages 17, 14 and 14. My life's work has always been geared around children. In my college years I worked at a day camp in Kirkland each summer when I came home from WSU. After college I was a nanny for a few years before I found my "real" job as the assistant to the director of Pediatrics at a local Seattle hospital. In 2001 I had my daughter and then in 2004 I welcomed a set of boy/girl twins. I stayed home and raised my kids until 2010 and ran an in-home daycare watching my close friends children as well. In 2010 I went back to work as a behavior support specialist in a local school district where I'm currently working today. I work in a Title 1, low income school with students from around the world. I love my job and Read more the joy it brings me helping kids who are struggling. I love caring for kids because they're fun and challenging! Getting to know their personalities, watching them learn and having fun playing and doing what kids do is part of the perks of working with kids. My favorite thing to do with kids would be being active outside. Kicking the ball around, the park, doing sidewalk chalk etc. I also love to read so enjoying books with a kiddo is a favorite of mine as well.
