Experienced nanny with a high-focus on building healthy attachment styles by creating a predictable environment, guiding emotional and mental development. While I do incorporate a lot of learning into our play from neuroscience books I've read, I prefer to keep it fluid and still allow the child to be a child. I follow a Montessori approach, so I don't feel comfortable forcing learning or being rigid with the methods. Particularly with toddlers, I allow them to take the lead through their interests to develop their independence and need for autotomy. This empowers them to manage nonnegotiable rules and boundaries with less meltdowns; in other words, we're building the foundational skills for compromising. WFH Families Unfortunately, I am not a good fit for this environment I have worked with lovely families and even then, found my introverted temperament type gets exhausted integrating into the nuances of a family dynamic.

Hi, my name is Bahia, I am 34 years old and I have my master's degree in marriage, family, and child counseling. For the past 7 years I have been a nanny, splitting my time between multiple families, almost all of whom have had at least two children ranging from 3 months old to 7 years old. Before nannying I worked at an autism center for 5 years, first as a behavior therapist, and eventually as a clinical supervisor. At this job I worked one on one with children ranging from 18 months of age to 15 years old. At this job I was trained in methods of language development and behavior management. While working at the autism center and completing my master’s degree I also interned as a marriage and family therapist trainee for two years, and approximately half of my caseload consisted of children. I occasionally babysat while in high school and as an undergrad. I have also been a very involved aunt to a now 14-year-old girl and 12-year old twins. Saving my best experience for last, I am the proud mama to a sweet boy who was born in March 2021. I am currently looking for a part time job that I can bring my son to, or date night/weekend jobs when I can leave my son with his dad if needed. I have been bringing my son to work with ume since he was 6 months old, so he is very used to it. I will not favor my child while on the job, I see this as a great way to teach him to share toys and attention with other children. I hope that my extensive knowledge and experience with children will make me the right fit for your family.

My name is Taryn and I have been a nanny for the last 12 years. I am also a certified medical assistant. I have worked with multiple families as a nanny and they have all become like family. I work part time for an amazing family right now and have been with them for the last four years. I am looking for a family/families who need an occasional sitter once a week or a few times a month, just to fill in all the off time I have. I have a 3 year old daughter that I occasionally bring with me depending on the time of day. I have continued to do this for so long because I find it extremely rewarding. I have multiple references from past and current families I’ve worked for and I hopefully will meet more amazing families soon!

My Name is Krystal and I am 27 years old. I grew up in a military family ever since I was born and took advatage of traveling around the world. I am very spontaneous, outgoing and enthuastic person and I love to stay active in my life. I am a happy go lucky person and always a very positive person. I try to bring the best in everyday life challenges. I work for the federal government and trying to find a side job so I can earn a little more money. Before working for the government, I use to work with children full time for about 6 years. I started as a child watch assistant working at the YMCA for child watch program for about 2 and half years where we assist and watch children from 6 weeks to 6 years old. During that time, I also babysat outside the job for some families I met while working at the Y. Then I became a preschool teacher at the YMCA from their child youth program. I volunteered for about 1 year while working at the Child Watch. I was doing that part time while going to school studing Early Childhood education and I decided to work full time and I got a job at the Child Development Center at Jackson Park. My goal was to work with military kids because I grew up as one and it was fun and one of the best experiences ever. After realizing working with kids, it was one thing I was very passionate about it and I was good at and saw myself doing it in the long run. I want to open up my own day care in the future. The reason why I love being a sitter because I always want to make a difference in a child's life and I feel like that's very important. I love being able to form memories with children of all ages and be attentive and loving to them because some kids need that care and I love showing that to them. Also, to have that patience, I strongly believe some children can have temper tantrums, but if you show them the willingness to make them happy and not give up on them, is a total blessing and makes your heart grow fonder. I also love putting a smile on a child's face because that shows I'm doing a great job! Kids are the meaning in life and are the future. Another thing I love is being able to be creative with children as a sitter. I love being able to create something new so kids can be entertained whether it's games, crafts, or other activities. My main objective is to set a good example for the children and become their best mentors and teachers.

I love and care about kids. I am looking to add more families for babysitting. I work in the daytime at an elementary school for Bremerton School District, also do Navy Respite Care. I have experience working with children on the spectrum, and special education. Not only do I enjoy connecting with children but also the parents, both are passion. It is important to work with the family routines already established in the home. I care about best practices when working with children. For children to thrive while in my care it is important to have engaging connections, something I really enjoy about kids. I graduated from the University of Washington in 2016 with my Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Family Studies.

Why I Love Being a Sitter I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy supporting children’s growth, curiosity, and daily routines. Being part of a child’s day — whether that’s helping them learn something new, explore outdoors, or feel safe and cared for — is incredibly rewarding to me. I value creating a calm, structured, and nurturing environment where kids can feel secure and parents can feel confident leaving their little ones in my care. My Experience I have professional childcare experience working with infants, toddlers, and young children in private family settings. I’ve supported families with daily routines, meals, naps, outings, developmental play, and safe transportation. In addition to childcare, I have a background in healthcare and patient care, which has strengthened my ability to stay calm under pressure, follow safety protocols, and communicate clearly with families. I also have customer service and coordination experience, which helps me stay organized and dependable. Skills & Training • CNA training with clinical patient care training • One year of BSN nursing education • Strong safety awareness and hygiene practices • Experienced with infant & toddler routines • Reliable, punctual, and communication-focused • Comfortable with pets and active households • Skilled in structured play, routine building, and transitions • Experience with scheduling, documentation, and parent updates My Care Style My approach is attentive, engaging, and safety-first. I focus on age-appropriate activities, outdoor time, reading, and interactive play rather than excessive screen time.
