Hello! I've been working with Centralia College Children's Lab School (daycare and preschool) for about a year and a half now. They don't keep fully staffed over the summer, so I'm looking for something to do until I go off to college in September. I have also done several different types of volunteer activities with children, as well as camp counseling. The majority of my experience is with kids ages 3-5, but also with elementary and middle schoolers. I currently work as a teacher's assistant in an Early Achievers certified classroom, so I do a lot of things such as teaching writing, numbers, colors, and other kindergarten preparation. I love to lead art activities and do fun things outside. I'm very engaged when I'm hanging out with kids and I love to integrate learning into everyday activities. I've done many MERIT certified trainings pertaining to Early Childhood Education and young Read more children. Along with that, I have also helped to lead clubs and after school activities with kids from grades four to eight. I never anticipated how much I would love working in childcare, but now it's one of my favorite ways to spend my time and I plan to major in Elementary Education at college.
