Hello, My name is Anna. I am 24 years old. I have extensive experience teaching and caring for children in classrooms, summer camps and as a nanny. I am currently an ESL teacher, but I've previously worked as a substitute teacher and math camp teacher. I recently moved back to the U.S. after a year spent in Ecuador teaching English and learning Spanish. If your kids speak Spanish or are learning Spanish I would love to practice with them. Being a nanny and a babysitter is fun because I get to know the unique personalities and interests of many kids. I enjoy spending time outside, being active, cooking, baking and doing arts and crafts. I can do homework help and piano practice, or the kids and I can have a less structured, relaxing and fun time. I rely on parents to communicate to me their expectations about screen time, meals Read more and snacks, and any structured activities they want to be completed during our time together. Every child is different and responds best to different behavioral management strategies. I always speak and act gently towards children regardless of their actions or behaviors. When big emotions or conflicts arise I use strategies I've been trained in to facilitate solutions with the child, giving them space to express their emotions and opinions. The majority of my childcare experience is with children 2 years old and up. I am open to caring for younger toddlers and infants, but I will need more specific instructions and time to ask questions about their care in order to ensure their undeniable safety and comfort during my time with them. My favorite thing about caring for children is getting to know them. Every child I've met and cared for has their own brilliant personality and opinions. Whether they are verbal or non-verbal, neurodivergent or neurotypical, loud or quiet, reserved or wild, I would love to meet your kids. Don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions.
