I have 10 years of babysitter and nanny experience working with kids. I am patient, interact well with children and am also dedicated to the well upbringing and safety of children. Personally I've raised two girls of my own and is currently an empty nester. Now that I'm no longer a full time mom, I'm taking on some part time jobs assisting other busy parents. I'm also comfortable being around pets. My family moved to WA 23 years ago and I turned a full time mom out of choice. During those years I had the joy of caring for my kids and volunteered as a teacher helper when my younger child started elementary school, helping other children in school with reading and art projects. I taught elementary Singapore Mathematics and substituted for challenged students English classes on Saturdays with Northwest Chinese School when my daughters were attending Chinese lessons there for 3-4 years. Also privately tutored some Taiwanese kids and assisted non-fluent English speakers in the library ESL classes over the years. I believe with proper nurturing and providing children with early learning opportunity can enhance positive child development. I highly value quality education. I am good at reading books to kids and enjoy singing children's songs and rhymes with them. I am great at telling time-tested and children-proved stories. I am good at teaching and making art and craft projects. Also able to handle making healthy kids meals and cleaning after kids with ease. Since the past years to date I have been working part time and occasionally for families with kids ranging from 0 months to 12 years old. I have experience with baby and toddler care. I retired early to enjoy being a grandma after raising five children as a single parent. Now I have nine grandchildren with another on the way. I babysit my grandchildren as needed from newborn to eight years old. Each gets special attention based on their personalities and learning styles. My youngest kids are twenty nine year old twins, so life was busy when they were younger. They all went to co-op preschools and I was able to take ECE classes at the local community college as well. All five are now grown and successful.
