My name is Samantha and I am a mother of two youngsters! I have worked for three years as a parent coordinator in co-op preschool with kids from 1 to 5. Additionally, I have nanny experience, new born night care experience and regular babysitter experience. Childcare is by far the best career choice I could have ever made. My approach to childcare is play based and rich in art, books, baking and any other activity kids enjoy. What makes me different from other babysitters is that I come to the job with a range of thoughtful and helpful ideas. Firstly, I help teach children effective solutions for issues that arise for anything from sharing to communicating their needs. Secondly, I go above and beyond to anticipate how I can help parents. This means that at the end of a babysitting night all the toys and dishes are all put back and clean. Lastly, I hope you'll choose me because I am a parent and that gives me an insight into what raising a child feels like. I bring ideas, empathy, and care into my work. I see childcare as a three fold job: caring for the children, the family as a whole and the house. Parents know their children better than anyone so I always take parent input seriously and appreciate any feedback along the way. Thank you so much!

Howdy! 2026 update: I am now accepting new families to expand my list of regulars, as well as provide one-time childcare for visiting families. Feel free to reach out! My childcare career began about 13 years ago as a weekly volunteer and eventually as lead teacher at my church in San Antonio, Texas. It was there I met families that would become my very first clients. As time went by, my business grew fruitfully! I also began substitute teaching at ECC and elementary schools, including in special needs classrooms. - 13 years of childcare experience as a sitter, “manny,” tutor, substitute teacher, and volunteer - Experience caring for all ages, multiples, in-home and on outings - Experience in homes and classrooms of children with special needs - Flexible childcare style to be consistent with your family’s methods - Welcoming and open-minded to all family types and beliefs - Energetic and positive attitude towards learning and play - Safety conscious and always present in the moment - Pet friendly, zero allergies, non-smoker/drugs - CPR and first-aid certified (renewed February 2026) I can provide enhanced background check results from 8/29/23. It is a bit pricey to renew so I've chosen not to. However, I'd gladly submit a new check if a family wishes to purchase one. Same for motor vehicle check (perfect driving record). I’m open to provide transportation for outings using my reliable and spacious SUV. I have an adjustable car seat and booster, or we can use yours. Trips to the park and playgrounds are my favorite! I’m looking forward to chatting with you about your family’s childcare needs. Feel free to send me a message any time!

Thomas is really great with our son Shrink (22 months)! He is really good at keeping our son happy and playing with his trains, books, and other toys. Our son is always happy to see him and excited to play, and he doesn’t get sad when my wife and I have to leave because he is distracted and having fun. Thomas is really easy to communicate with and is organized with his schedule so it is easy to coordinate. We would recommend Thomas to anyone needing a babysitter, he is great with toddlers!

Hi, my name is Mavis, I graduated from college a couple of years ago and worked as a graphic designer and artist for a while. I recently went back to school for some professional training. I started babysitting 9 years ago, I’ve been giving care to infants, toddlers and older kids. At the same time, I work with kids in age 3-14 as an art teacher. I get along with kids pretty well, and I enjoy my time with them. I am a patient and caring person. I like animals, especially dogs. In my past caregiving experience, I usually make art with kids, play the piano, go on walks to parks, pickup and provide simple meals, singing, dancing, reading books, etc. I am looking forward to meet your family and offer my help!

Hi all, my name is Rebecca, I am a passionate and experienced caregiver with over 10 years of experience! I have worked with children of all ages from infants to teens, in various roles; before and after school care, summer camps, and as a lead teacher in infant, toddler, preschool and pre-k classrooms, nannying and babysitting. I have experience working with children who have autism, adhd, sensory disorders, allergies, and other behavioral or medical needs. I am looking to help out a family in the mornings between the hours of 8-1:30! I am a very kind and caring person who treats each child as their own person. I am a big believer in learning through play while also mixing in some elements of Montessori, Reggio Emilia and Waldorf learning. It is very rewarding to get to see the children I work with learn and grow!

I am a mother to 3 children ages 12, 15 and 17. My oldest son has Autism Spectrum Disorder with a language impairment. I have worked with children since I was a teenager. I loved staying at home with my children when they were little. I am currently a first year middle school teacher in Florida but am moving back home to Washington state mid-March. I have nannied on the side in my 20s and started again last year. I would like to nanny full-time.

I can’t say enough good things about Sara’s care my daughter received. From day one, Sara treated my daughter like her own. She was warm, attentive, and genuine in her care. She consistently honored my role as the mom, always checking in and respecting my wishes. If new opportunities came up, she communicated first making no assumptions, always with thought and consideration. Beyond that, she went above and beyond in creating meaningful experiences for my daughter. From regular trips to the library and children’s museums to book-themed activities, the state fair, cultural outings, the botanical gardens, and the zoo. Every moment was thoughtfully planned and enriching. She even introduced my daughter to different cultures through food, giving her opportunities to try new cuisines in a fun and age appropriate way, and after checking with me to gain my approval. It is rare to find someone who provides such intentional, respectful, and enriching care. I’m incredibly grateful because she made a lasting impact on my daughter’s growth and development.

Angel is great with our kids! From the moment she met both of them (3.5 year old and 1 year old) she was engaged and playful with them. Angel is professional, easy to work with and also left our house spotless.

Hi! My name is Kestrel and I'm 31 years old, born and raised in Seattle! I love spending time with little humans and supporting families. When you choose to hire me as your nanny, you're entrusting me not only with your child's safety and wellbeing, but with their childhood; their sense of wonder, their sense of security, their future memories. I strive to build genuine trust and connection and follow their lead whenever possible. I love reading aloud, coloring, making art, listening to music, and playing outside! My educational background is in psychology and communications, and I've taken several courses on child development. I've had several wonderful experiences caring for neurodivergent kids, including nonverbal kids and kids with high support needs. Outside of nannying, I work part-time as a freelance editor and continue to study editing through the University of Washington. I'm bilingual (English and Brazilian Portuguese), an animal lover, a dog mom, and a proud auntie to two amazing kids! On my days off, you can find me treasure hunting at thrift stores and flea markets, out to brunch with my family, or enjoying nature.

Hello, My name is Sarah, and I am a single mom living in Edmonds with my 14-year-old son. While working in childcare facilities, I have seen first-hand how the children can become unintentionally overlooked due to an overcrowded setting. I know peace-of-mind is necessary when finding a caretaker for your child, and that is something I am willing and wanting to provide.
