I believe that there are no irrelevant actions, that every shift in sentiment, every move and every idea is part of something bigger. To satisfy that curiosity, I try to notice all of these things, and to never miss a moment. With a background in digital design and project management, I have found great success in my varied creative roles by approaching my work with infectious enthusiasm, an altruistic spirit, and an empathetic mindset. As a young girl, I began babysitting and working as a mothers helper. Being the youngest of three, I always loved being around kids who were younger then me and thought of babysitting as, "playing house". That energy of being needed, knowing I was helping a family all the while watching the kids learn and grow helped pave a path in my career to working with kids of all ages and backgrounds. In 2011 I graduated Read more with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and began working as a mentor at the Boys and Girls club after school program in my hometown. I truly loved this role being that the club provided a safe space for under privilege kids to learn and grow at. I felt needed here. Mentoring students with their homework and providing fun game play afterwards created a strong bond between me and the students. They not only felt safe in this building, but they felt safe with my guidance. After my time spent at the after school program ended, my adventurous side kicked in. I moved to Vail, Colorado and taught skiing to children ages 3-10 years old. I went from learning and teaching kids in the classroom, to exploring their adventurous side on the mountain side. While you can imagine being in charge of 20 kids on slippery skis was overwhelming at times, approaching the job with patience and a great attitude was all it needed to help the kids learn. In 2018, I began working as a Project Manager for the obstacle course company, Spartan Race inc. In this role, I manage the entire design, build, event and tear down of the Spartan Kids obstacle course product. Working with kids ages 4-13 years old I truly enjoy all the hard work that goes into building the obstacle course because no matter how hard the work is, we're building an adventurous thrilling obstacle course that the kids are going to love. With the event world closing due to COVID restrictions, I was furloughed from my role as Project Manager. With that change in career, I enrolled in a new remote program and am currently earning a degree in Ux/Ui design.
