Greetings, My name is Victoria and I'm 26 years old. I have two children, a energetic, smart, and bouncy 5-year-old girl and a sweet, cuddly, 7 month old baby boy. I recently resigned from my full-time job as a ELL Para Educator at the Highline Public School District to be a stay-at-home mom for my kids. I wanted to be more available to my family, especially my new baby. My job at the school district provided me with the great opportunity to work with elementary aged children. I spent most of the year working with Kindergarteners, tutoring them, encouraging and supporting students who were learning English as their second language. I also ran an after school arts and crafts club for 1st and 2nd graders and I facilitated a ELL homework help club for 3rd and 4th grade students. Previous to the school district job, I worked as a substance abuse counselor for middle school aged and high school aged teenagers. Growing up my mom ran a daycare from our home and as a teenager my role at home was to help her with the kids. I often did arts & crafts, played games, helped with meal/snack time and did story time with the children. As you can see, I have tons of experience with children and I absolutely love working with them. They are such interesting and innocent little people who deserve the best care. I have twins that were 9 1/2 weeks premature and a 3 year old at the time soI I definitely know how to juggle children and family responsibilities I enjoy watching kids' sports. My boys played soccer since they were 3 years old, t-ball, baseball, basketball, track & field and football. I was a really active parent. I was Vice President of the PTA, VP of Membership, Chairperson of Family Fun nights and an Art Docent for their classrooms for two years. I also participated in booster clubs to raise money for the sports. I enjoy walking, bike riding, easy/moderate hiking (nothing too crazy!). I belong to the YMCA where I take Zumba, cycling, a weight class, yoga, pilates and cardio/weights. I just recently bought a guitar and I plan on taking lessons. I am very close to my 3 sons so I enjoy doing various things with them. In addition, I have a 13 year old dog, who thinks he's a puppy! In the past, I worked 7 years at the Kent School District, both in the office and as an Instructional Assistant. I worked some with autistic children and children with learning disabilities. I attended school at the University of Washington where I obtained my Master's in Teaching in 2020. I've been working with kids for 10 years and have babysat for the past 5 years.
