Hi parents! My name is Amanda, and I’m a working mom in my 30’s, loving to spend my time and efforts in caring for and educating children. I am currently a part-time nanny, looking to fill the rest of my schedule! I’ve been working with kids for over 15 years, ages newborn to pre-teen. I pride myself in educational and hands on play, refraining from screen time and keeping kids active and engaged. I’m familiar with developmentally appropriate activities and learning for each different age range. Milestone learning is critical in my book! Those that I’ve worked with or know me, would attest to my attentiveness, loving and genuine character, and overall compassion for children. My time spent with children is skilled not only through experience, but also with much time and effort put into continuous research, reading, and staying up to date on evidence-based information involving childcare. I’ve been Read more with my current family for 2 years now (beginning at ages 7 months old and 5 years old). Before that and prior to moving to the Snohomish County area, I was working with an infant and elementary age kiddo starting at 3 months and 8 years old, as well as other long term nanny and babysitting positions over the years. I also have newborn experience as a mom myself and auntie to 3! I am truly familiar with it all - breastfeeding, pumping, formula, starting solids, etc. I also have experience with neurodiverse children - including autism, ADHD, and mood disorders. I understand and respect the level of compassion, patience, and guidance that these conditions require. In short, I am here to be a supportive figure in your children’s lives. I consider my career to be critical and serious, but also fun, entertaining and interactive as well! I take safety incredibly seriously, while making sure kids can learn and grow the way kids should have fun doing. I am always an open book and would love to chat further about any details or questions you might have for me. Please reach out, I’d love to hear from you!
