Most of my background has been working with kids between the ages of 6 to 15. I worked at WAYA Outdoor Camp every summer through 2024, starting in high school and sticking with it for eight years. Around Covid, I became a swim instructor at a local pool, then worked as a lifeguard at my college pool, and later nannied three little girls down the street from me for about a year. I’m currently a swim instructor at an athletic club where I’m highly trusted and respected. This would just be a side thing to that job. I’m CPR, first aid, and lifeguard certified. I’m also the oldest of five siblings, so I’m pretty well equipped to handle sibling fights, big emotions, and wild imaginations. I know how to be patient and calm when needed, but also playful and creative when the moment calls for it. I love doing art Read more projects with kids like drawing, painting, and collaging. I’ve taken a few child development classes just out of personal interest, and I really believe the first five years of life are crucial. I want to help foster growth in healthy and supportive ways through play, creativity, structure, and being a consistent presence in their lives. I’m also well-educated. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Tribal Governance from The Evergreen State College and came back for my Master’s in Public Administration. I just finished my first year and have one year left. I’m smart, funny, reliable, and genuinely enjoy working with kids. I don’t smoke or vape and I love pets!
