** Moving To Bellingham, WA August 2023 :) ** Hello! My name is Jaden and I moved from western WA to the Tri-Cities after graduating high school with my AA in 2021. Though elated to be accepted to WSU(TC), after a term I decided to take time for myself to be sure of my educational route. In the meantime, I wanted to do something more meaningful than waitressing, as I had done in the past. Growing up with a big family, I had PLENTY of babysitting experience, so I tried my luck at Sittercity. Thankfully, I quickly found one of the most amazing families to nanny for and I worked full-time for them for a year! I am beyond grateful for the opportunity they gave me and it will be tough to leave as it was one of the most rewarding jobs I will ever have. However, I realized I Read more want to settle down closer to family in western Washington, and they had found a great school for both of their boys, so in the end it gladly worked out for both of us (their reference is provided on my profile). Generally, but especially for toddlers, I aim for little to no screen time and to get outside as much as possible (or if the weather seriously does not allow, go on indoor adventures like public library events, indoor playgrounds, aquariums etc), and really just make learning fun at every given opportunity. Although I have the most experience in the realm of toddlers, I would be happy to look after older kids to help with homework along with everything else. I have always loved and excelled in school, and I was involved in many different youth-centered volunteer programs through my high school, one of which was tutoring at the local Boys and Girls Club. I am entirely confident and comfortable in my ability to care for kids, and of course, I absolutely love the job.
