Hello, My name is Grace and I am a junior in college down in Portland. I am from Seattle and continue to live here with my parents during the summers and on my school breaks. I will be in the area until this October. I started babysitting in 8th grade for local Magnolia families and have done some sitting since then whenever there was time in my schedule. I became a certified babysitter when I was 12 through the "better babysitting program" at Seattle Children's Hospital and have been CPR certified three times since then. I worked with children for two and a half years as a volunteer at The Seattle Aquarium. During the summer of 2012, I was also a Seattle Aquarium camp counselor for the Pre-K camp. What sets me apart as a babysitter is that I am a very active person and love sharing my interests with Read more youngsters. I am a biology major and enjoy being outdoors in nature but I also have a wide variety of hobbies and love learning about the kids' favorite activities. I tend to be as involved as parents and kids want me to be. I am more than willing to spend a day at the park or head to a local museum. I share a car with my mom when I am at home and will be able to use it to travel to and from babysitting jobs or to drive the kids around. I have been a licensed driver since I was 16 and have a clean driving record. I have also undergone further driving training to become a certified driver for my college's vehicles. I transitioned from a high school to an adult volunteer at The Seattle Aquarium two years ago. During this process, The Seattle Aquarium performed a background check (as a part of their adult volunteer requirements) which came back clean. I can talk to you more about this if you are interested. Unfortunately I don't have the funds to have a background check performed by this site.
