Hi- My name is Dylan! I enjoy partnering with parents to ensure children receive the nurturing, consistency, care, and fun they need. I am a kid at heart and love to get down on the floor (or up in a play structure) to play with kids, encouraging their imagination, doing age appropriate science and art projects, adventuring outdoors, and facilitating their brain development through play, reading, and singing. It is important to me to model empathy, respect, and acceptance with the goal of empowering children to solve problems. Additionally, I am very skilled at multi-tasking and time management to ensure the safety and well being of all children in my care. Biggest strength: I give kids the attention they deserve! I am regularly referred to by parents as the 'kid whisperer' or 'Pied Piper.' While some believe I have magical powers (especially toddlers!), in truth, I am simply present and Read more attuned to their needs and wants, through the laughter and tears. Experience: I have over 10 years experience as a babysitter and nanny for children birth to 12 years of age, providing care for up to 5 children at a time both in the family's home and traveling. I have volunteered as a child care provider for Pinay sa Seattle, co-facilitating a childcare group during meetings and events for up to 8 children ages 8 months-7 years. Additionally, I have experience as a birth and postpartum doula. I have worked with single parent and blended families, have experience with twins, ADD/ADHD, autism, food allergies, trauma, and preemie infant health issues. Education: BA in Liberal Arts: Leadership & Human Services Antioch University, Seattle, WA 2011-2014 Somatics Practitioner Training Generative Somatics, Seattle, WA 2012-2015 Current: Infant/Child CPR/First Aid Work History: 5+ years in social work directly supporting homeless youth and adults living with mental illness 7+ years office management for small businesses 2 years student services at Antioch University

We hired Dylan to watch our two-year-old son for the first time, and the experience exceeded our expectations. Finding someone reliable and engaging for a toddler can be tough, but Dylan was fantastic from start to finish. His professionalism and communication were flawless. He was incredibly responsive to texts and provided us with great updates throughout the day, including photos. Knowing our son was happy and cared for allowed us to completely relax while we were away. The best part, however, was seeing how much fun our son had. At the end of the day, our two-year-old was bubbling with energy and it was obvious he’d had a huge amount of fun—the kind of fun only possible when a sitter is truly present and engaged with the child. Dylan is reliable, kind, and genuinely excellent with young children. We highly recommend him and will absolutely be booking him again!
