Hi! I've been babysitting since I was a kid, when I was inspired by a certain book series to create my own neighborhood babysitting. That didn't last long, but the relationships I made with families in my neighborhood did. In college, between classes and babysitting a neighbor's little girl, I worked for a nonprofit aimed at addressing the opportunity gap in STEM. I worked with elementary and middle schoolers, teaching them how to code, 3D print, and make their own movies while also fostering an empowering environment in which they felt free to experiment and be themselves. Last summer I moved to Seattle from the Midwest to study library science in graduate school. I'm hoping to work in public libraries or archives after graduating next spring. I love getting to know your little humans and watching them grow into confident, compassionate, and caring people.
