Hello! My name is Ruth and I specialize with children who have learning disabilities and behavioral issues. I have experience with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Trauma, Depression, Self Harm and other special needs. I am P.T.M. certified with The Salvation Army, C.P.R & First Aid Certified, I have my current Food Handlers Permit and have completed my Concussion Awareness training. I have two years experience with underprivileged youth ages 7-17, supervising up to twenty children at a time during this program. This summer I was employed at Camp Burtons New Horizons camp as a Cabin Counselor, working with 12 differently-abled adults. I love introducing children to the arts and the beauty of nature and hope to pursue a career in Music/Special education. I have familiarity with teaching basic piano, bass, guitar and percussion.
