I just recently moved to Seattle from Austin, Texas to receive my masters in Art Therapy as well as seek my certification in Play Therapy. In Austin, I worked for the National Domestic Violence Hotline for 6 years where I spoke to those reaching out about healthy, unhealthy and abusive relationships between intimate partners. During that time, I also worked for a residential treatment center called Helping Hand Home as a Therapeutic Childcare Specialist where I worked closely with children who have suffered severe abuse and neglect. In addition to this experience, I also volunteered at an after school art program and helped paint murals around the school with kids ranging from Middle School to High School grade levels. I enjoy the outdoors, such as going to the park, running and also spending time inside like crafting, painting and playing games.
