The children of today are the leaders of tomorrow. As cheesy as that sounds, I whole-heartedly believe it, and it is what has motivated me to invest my time and energy in childcare, early childhood development, and youth leadership since I was 12 when I started babysitting. Since then, I have nannied for 4 different families, and spent 7 years working at a summer camp. I have worked at YMCA Camp Orkila since I was 16, working directly with youth ages 8-16. I moved up through positions until eventually I was a Unit Director, meaning I was in charge of 40 children and 6 staff. I planned daily schedules, cooked meals, organized overnight-trips, and provided behavioral management for a new group of kids ever week. That being said, I have a TON of experience planning fun activities, especially in the outdoors, and I know how to handle most things that Read more kids can throw my away. I am CPR and Wilderness First Aid certified as well. I also speak fluent Mandarin, and have my own car for transportation.
