Hello! My name is Erika and I'm from Seattle. I graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Communication. While there, I was an Orientation Leader, Resident Advisor, Educational Opportunity Program Mentor, and Dream Project member. After graduating and entering the workforce, I volunteered as a Corps Member for the Scholarship Junkies, where I edited essays for students applying for college, scholarships, and grad school programs. In addition to these experiences, I've taught English abroad for the past three years in Japan and Spain. I’ve taught children and adults of all ages through planned lessons and conversation. I also worked as an Au Pair in Madrid, Spain for three months. These experiences have opened my mind, have strengthened my passion in creating a better world, and deepened my passion for teaching. I hold a TESOL/TEFL certification from the Global Leadership College and completed the Up International Education Successful Read more Teaching English Procedures (STEP) Program from the Foro Europeo Escuela de Negocios de Navarra. I lived abroad in Spain for 2 years in Madrid and Valencia. I am able to tutor elementary Spanish.
