Hey! My name is Florence (Flo) Boots and I’m looking for occasional or temporary gigs (I’m open to longer term if its a good fit) looking after kiddos of any age while I look for a new job. I spent 2 years as a full time nanny, and have more than a decade of babysitting experience. I recently left my job as a bartender to pursue something hopefully in the arts administration world. I am fully available outside of Wednesday nights 7-10pm when I take a dance class. I have my own car, and a clean driving record. I was a full time nanny a few years ago when I lived in Washington DC, first for two girls, 3 and 7 and would help with school pickups, meal prep and everything in between. I later nannied for a 2 and 5 year old during the onset of COVID, doing all Read more day care and helping with zoom school and maintaining sanity. I did many over-nights with both families. In Seattle, I have been the occasional babysitter for a 7 month old baby, as well as my cousin’s 3 and 8 year old. There have been quite a few other kids that I occasionally babysat over the years. I have experience with kids 6 months and older. My experience as a nanny has equipped me with valuable insights into the emotional needs of children and the responsibilities associated with their care. Additionally, during a year as a Jumpstart Corps Member, I engaged in literacy development at the pre-K level with students from diverse linguistic backgrounds. I planned lessons and designed engaging learning aids, such as an ABCs puppet show, to captivate the young audience. I also contributed to my college dance club, where I managed a weekly after-school dance program for elementary students, teaching them dance fundamentals and encouraging the development of coordination and creativity. I also am a former theater kid who attended many summer camps, and I have the enthusiasm and creativity to entertain kids.
