I am 20 years old and finishing up my junior year at the University of Washington. I play for the Women's basketball team at UW (go dawgs). During the off-season I have a lot of extra time to work and earn some money. I am interested in being a part time nanny/babysitter. I have always loved working with kids! I like to be engaged with the kids when I am babysitting. I like to be active and play with the kids, but also understand when it's time for bed, homework, etc. I have cooked meals for kids I have babysat in the past and am willing to prepare as many meals/snacks as needed. I have cooked for a variety of diets and understand health concerns. I have my own car so I can transport myself and the kid(s) as needed. Here is a little bit about my babysitting background: I Read more first started babysitting when I was a sophomore in high school (15 yrs old). I started off babysitting kids of family friends and then it progressed from there. I was a part time nanny for about 3 months for a family that had 4 year old twins, one boy, one girl. My senior year of high school I worked at the Edmonds Boys and Girls club for 5 months before I left for college. This is a before and after school club for kids who need to come early or stay late after school, mostly because of their parents' work schedule. For this job, the qualifications included things such as: CPR certified and a non smoker, which I am both. This job consisted of me taking attendance, helping kids with homework, playing games with them, leading/creating activities for the whole group, preparing snacks, mediating arguments, and making sure all kids got home safe and with the correct guardian. Once I got to college, I started doing some babysitting during the off-season. I was a part time nanny for two younger girls (8mo & 3yrs), this was a 3-month job. Additionally, I was also a nanny for a family with one boy (11mo) which was an occasional babysitting position. Lastly, I was a nanny for a family with three boys (6mo, 2yrs, 4yrs). I had very good experiences with each one of these families and my position with them all. Today, I have even more free time, considering the situation we are all living through, as well as I am finishing up my last credits as a junior in college. With this being said, I have plenty of time on my hands to be a part time nanny/babysitter. I am looking forward to meeting you and your family! :)
