Hello! My name is Claire. For the last eight years, I have been working with children to some extent. In 2019-2020 I was an au pair for a family with 5 year old twin boys in Paris, France. Since being back, I worked as a full time nanny for a family with five girls aged 1, 4, 6, 8, and 10 when I started. Additionally, I worked for the summer of 2020 at a program that looked after elementary aged kids in Green Lake. My classroom was mostly 5th graders (a very sassy bunch!) Before my year abroad, I worked at a preschool while attending university in Portland, Oregon. As a preschool teacher, I worked a lot with the children on conflict resolution and learning to effectively communicate their emotions and needs.
