I have extensive experience working with children in multiple different settings. In college, I majored in psychology with a focus in developmental psychology and minored in education. During my freshman year, I worked part time as a nanny for a professor and for all four years, I worked as a classroom assistant and reading buddy in the local elementary school. I also ran a Girl Scout troup for elementary and middle school refugee girls in my spare time. During one summer, I was a Girl Scout camp counselor and another summer, I interned as a counselor for children in foster care. Upon graduating college, I was awarded an English Teaching Fulbright Grant to South Korea and spent a year there teaching English at an elementary school. I am now pursuing my masters in library sciences to become a children's librarian. I am happy to obtain any certifications requested.
