Currently, I work as a City Year Seattle Student Success Coach providing academic tutoring and social-emotional development guidance to over 100 students daily in systemically under-resourced schools. Through this work, I have developed a deep passion for caring and advocating for youth. I have worked with children for over four years now. I began by watching younger family members and grew to professionally babysitting in college. I have babysat for ages 9 months to 12 years assisting with potty training, and literacy learning, and play. I completed an internship in outdoor education with the Outer Banks Wildlife Education Center where I co-taught over eight different classes in topics ranging from recreation to ecology for ages 4-18. During my work at the Corolla Wild Horse Farm, I mentored several youth volunteers from ages 9-16 by providing them with opportunities for growth, directing daily activities, and providing a compassionate but guiding perspective.
