Hi! My name is Dante, and I am a 30-year-old environmental scientist based in Seattle, WA.   Originally hailing from the east coast, I have been living in the PNW for the past three years. I am the oldest child of my family, where I have three younger sisters and two younger brothers; the oldest is just a year younger than me, while there is a 15-year difference between myself and the youngest. As the eldest, (read: resident family babysitter), I have developed a deep understanding of the dynamics of a family and the unique needs of kids of varying ages.   Coming from a large family, I have decades of experience caring for siblings, younger cousins, and now nieces and nephews.   Outside of caring for kids in my family, I also have professional experience as a sitter for family friends. I was the go-to sitter for a family Read more with three littles for around six years before moving out west. My responsibilities here included pick-ups from school/daycare, meal preparation for young twins with food allergies and restrictions, and usual tasks associated with overnight care and bedtime routines. I started with this family when their oldest was five, through having twins, and until the youngest were around five years old as well.   I fully believe in community care when it comes to raising a family; being raised by a single mother, I am thankful for the community that she was able to call on when she needed support. In turn, I am committed to being a reliable avenue of support for my family, friends, and others who I am in community with. I hope to demonstrate that reliability and trustworthiness to parents and guardians, while fostering a positive and fun atmosphere that ensures both the well-being and happiness of the children under my care.   Thanks for your consideration!
