I saw Rashi's one star review but chalked it up to a possible misunderstanding and decided to give her a chance. I set up a phone interview which went fine and then scheduled an in person interview with her in which she would meet my kids and I would have a chance to see her interacting with them. This is my standard process as I feel it is important to see how someone engages with my children before trusting them to their care. I confirmed that she was still able to come watch my kids the night before and everything seemed fine. She said she would be there. The next day she simply did not show up. I even hung out outside with my kids so that I could flag her down if she was having trouble finding my place. I got no response to my text checking to see if she was finding my place ok or the phone call I made a half hour after she was supposed to be there. I did not pursue it beyond that point. As a therapist, reliability is very important to me because I need to be reliable for my clients. Her failure to even bother to call if she could not make it leaves me questioning her ability to be reliable and communicative. I gave 2 stars instead of one simply because I have no knowledge of her childcare abilities.

Rashi applied to two of my job postings. With the first one, she wrote asking to set up a phone interview which I agreed to. I asked later if she would be willing to send a resume and meet for coffee. She did not reply so I figured she was just an unreliable applicant, which is unfortunately kind of common. She then applied to my second job posting and I told her that after blowing off the interview yesterday, it wasn't a good idea. She then sent me threatening texts saying that she read the message on Sitter City and if I contact her again, she'll call the police. There's something really wrong with this girl. Stay away.
