Hi! I'm Chelsea, thanks for looking at my profile. Originally from Alaska, I have finally just moved back after spending 8 long years away from home, studying and working. I am currently in my 3L year at Seattle University School of Law and studying in AK on Alaska Pacific University’s campus as part of a partnership between the universities. Before moving to Seattle in 2015 to begin my graduate studies, I was living in Washington DC and working for the Senate Committee on Energy & Natural Resources. I moved to DC in 2013 after graduating from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, IL with a BA in Communications (and a minor in Spanish). In terms of experience, I am from a family of 8 kids total and - as the third eldest - I have grown up babysitting + housekeeping on a daily basis for most of my life. In Read more addition to my own siblings, I have worked as a nanny for many different families over the past 10+ years in AK, IL, DC, and WA. I have worked as a date-night sitter for some families and as a more consistent, regularly scheduled caregiver for others. I have experience with newborn babies, toddlers, young children, middle-schoolers, and high-schoolers. My responsibilities have varied from family-to-family based on their specific needs. I have previously held positions in which, in addition to providing childcare generally, I was responsible for all or most of the following: meal prep; house-cleaning; transportation assistance (to and from school + extracurricular activities); errand-running (groceries, dry-cleaning, etc.); tutoring/HW help; carrying out both AM & PM routines; and generally making sure the kid(s) are happy and entertained (playing games inside as well as outdoors, reading books, coloring, watching movies, trips to the zoo/museum/botanical gardens/etc.). Finally, a few things about myself: - I am 27 years old. - I love to watch & play ice hockey (I even played in College!) and would say I am a sports fan generally - I participated in soccer, xc running, and track & field throughout high school. - I enjoy being outdoors: hiking, fishing, biking, running, rollerblading, and playing with sidewalk chalk! - I love to read, write, & create things with my hands (knitting, drawing, painting, building things, and DIY projects). - I am bilingual (fluent in Spanish & English).
